Pre-School

Children enrolled at this level of programming need to be three years old by December 31st and must be fully day-time potty trained. Small class size allow for more one on one opportunities between the children and our qualified Educators.

Children in this program will be introduced to shapes, colors, sounds, letters and numbers.  Children will also participate in various activities designed to stimulate fine and gross motor skill development.

Our thematic units align closely with what children of this age generally find interesting and engaging.

Children in this classroom are engaged in practical life activities with a lot of sensory play.  Our aim is to foster healthy self-esteem and encourage children to find a sense of independence.

Our experienced staff take great pride in creating engaging hands-on activities and sensorial exploration for the children.

Junior Kindergarten

Four year olds enrolled in this program are busy exploring and discovering the environment around them. They are engaged in stimulating programming that continues to foster their self-awareness and independence.  We help children to build a sense of responsibility as the year progresses.

As we prepare this group for kindergarten, we focus on cognitive development, problem-solving, social competencies, language skills, numeracy, cultural awareness, sensorial activities and practical life activities.

Children continue to strengthen their fine and gross motor skills through adult and child led play.  Our junior kindergarten team pride themselves on developing strong relationships to motivate children in all aspects of learning which in turn ensure the building blocks are present for future success.

Kindergarten

Children enrolled in our kindergarten program are engaged in full day programming, in a small class size, with experienced educators.  Our teaching style aligns with Montessori methodology while using a hybrid approach to ensure children are ready for Edmonton's school system in Grade 1.

Children learn at their own pace as we continuously foster a love for learning.

We strengthen and build a solid foundation needed for a child’s first years of elementary school.

Children are exposed to literacy, numeracy, botany, zoology, geography and will begin to gain an appreciation for fine arts such as music, drama and art.  Our thematic units create a framework that allow for space and adaptation to allow for student directed learning.

Our educators take time to help children communicate, solve problems, build confidence and focus on academic learning as well as working together as a classroom community.

Through carefully crafted lessons, students continue to develop socially and emotionally, learn healthy habits, develop positive interaction skills and increase personal responsibility.

Our kindergarten team pride themselves on ensuring your children leave our care ready for all aspects of grade school.
