Pre-School
Our aim is to foster healthy self-esteem, independence and a love of coming to school.
Children will be introduced to shapes, colors, sounds, letters and numbers as they develop the fine and gross motor skills needed to be successful. Our thematic units are often directed by the child’s interests which help to guide the discussion and learning.
Our experienced staff take great pride in creating engaging hands-on activities and sensorial exploration and practical life activities for the children.
Children need to be three years old by December 31st and must be fully day-time potty trained. Small class size allow for more one on one opportunities between the children and our educators.
Junior Kindergarten
Children are engaged in stimulating programming that continues to foster their self-awareness, love of learning and independence.
We focus on cognitive development, pro-social competencies, language skills, numeracy, cultural awareness, sensorial activities and practical life activities.
Children continue to strengthen their fine and gross motor skills through work and play. Our Junior Kindergarten team pride themselves on developing strong relationships to motivate children in all aspects of learning which in turn ensure the building blocks are present for future success in both academics and socially.
Children need to turn four years old by December 31st.
Kindergarten
Our full day kindergarten program occurs in a small class size, with a high teacher-student ratio and experienced educators in alignment with Montessori methodology.
Children learn at their own pace as we continue to foster love for learning. We strengthen and build a solid foundation needed for a child’s first years of elementary school. Children are exposed to literacy, numeracy, botany, zoology, geography and will begin to gain an appreciation for fine arts such as music, drama and art. Our educators take time to help children communicate, solve problems and focus on academic learning as well as working together as a classroom community. Through carefully crafted lessons, students continue to develop socially and emotionally, learn healthy habits, develop positive interaction skills and increased personal responsibility.

Our Approach
Montessori Play and Learn Centre Ltd offers a Montessori-hybrid approach to early education for 3 - 6 year olds. Our focus is on independence, a love of learning and growing self-confidence.
Operating under a daycare license allows for extended hours to assist working parents.
Currently Montessori Play and Learn Centre Ltd is signed up to the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care agreement so families can access Affordability Grant and Child Care Subsidy.
